Master Abstract

The main objective of the study is to account for the most important features of the historical development of the religious organizations in the Egyptian society. It is to shed light on the establishment and development of one of the most significant religious organizations in the Egyptian society. Its structure, its relationship with the government, and the role it plays in serving the local community in addition to identifying the most important obstacles that may hinder the efficiency of the organization. The historical approach is adopted in the study in order to highlight the historical phases of the religious organization. The results of the study support the validity of the following hypotheses: 1. the religious organization constitute an open social system reacting directly to the environment and the community. 2. The role of the organization complements the role of government. 3. The category of poor people is the most likely to benefit from the activities of religious organization. 4. Governmental interference with the activities of the organization is the major obstacle hinders the fulfillment of its aims.

Culture of organization and quality of education

PHD Abstract

his study generally aimed to identify the patterns of organizational cultures currently and preferred within the university, and to identify the characteristics of these organizational cultures. The study also aimed to identify the type of relationship that exists between the current prevailing culture pattern and the level of education quality, and to identify the preferred or desirable organizational culture pattern within the university that leads to improving the quality of education. In order to achieve the goals of this study, to answer its questions and verify the validity of its hypotheses, the researcher relied on the social survey method by means of a comprehensive survey of faculty members in both the College of Arts and the College of Science. The number of faculty members who have been studied has reached (110) members, of whom (58) are members of the College of Arts, and (52) are members of the College of Sciences. The researcher also relied on the comparative approach, where the responses of faculty members in both the College of Arts and the College of Sciences were compared with the aim of identifying their views regarding current and preferred organizational culture patterns within the university, and the relationship between organizational culture and the quality of education. The researcher relied on the scale presented by R. Harrison and H. Stokes to measure organizational culture and learn about its patterns and characteristics.
