Agricultural activity in the lands of the floodplain in Beni Suef Governorate - Study in economic geography

Master Abstract

This study deals with “Agricultural Activity in Flood-plain lands in Beni-Suif Governorate. A study in Economic Geography.” The study falls into six chapters preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion. The introduction contains the rational behind selecting the topic of study, objectives, approaches of study, previous studies, stages of study, the difficulties of study and the study content. The First chapter handles the natural factors influencing the Agricultural Activity in Beni-Suif Governorate. These factors are represented in: the location. The surface features, the soil and the climate conditions. The second chapter presents the Human factors influencing the Agricultural Activity in Beni-Suif Governorate which are: the population, the Agricultural workers, the Agricultural-area Holdings, the irrigation, drainage, the Agricultural mechanization and the means of transport. The third chapter concentrates on the winter field-crops in Beni-Suif Governorate through high light on the development of area, the geographical ratio distribution and the crop structure. These winter field-crops are: wheat, clover, onion, garlic and medical perfume plants. The fourth chapter includes the study of the summer field-crops and the late summer field-crops in Beni-Suif Governorate through the development of area, the geographical ratio distribution and the crop structure. These summer field-crops and late summer field-crops are: summer maize, cotton, sunflower, summer corn, Soya bean, late summer maize and late summer corn. The fifth chapter deals with horticulture crops in Beni-Suif Governorate through high light on the development of area, the geographical ratio distribution and the crop structure which contains fruit and vegetables. The sixth chapter studies animal and fish production in Beni-Suif Governorate through the numbers heads of animals, geographical distribution and animal type formation. This chapter also studies the poultry wealth and fish production in Beni-Suif Governorate. Finally, the study ends with a conclusion which comprises the most important results and recommendations which the student could reach through the study.

Rice in Egypt - Study in Economic Geography

PHD Abstract

This study deals with " Rice in Egypt " A study in economic Geography." The study falls into six chapters preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion. The introduction contains the rational behind selecting the topic of study, objectives, approaches of study, previous studies, stages of study, the difficulties of study and the study content. The first Chapter handles the natural and environmental factors influencing the Rice production in Egypt, These factors are represented in the climate conditions and the soil. The second Chapter presents the human factors influencing the Rice Production in Egypt which are: agricultural property, irrigation, drainage, agricultural cycle, seeds, agricultural methods, fighting pests of Rice, agricultural labor, agricultural processes, the average of feddan cost, the pure revenue of rice. The third Chapter concentrates on the development distribution of the cultivated lands of Rice in Egypt through the highlight on: the distribution of Rice all over the regions, governorates and cities, the distribution of the cultivated lands as to the available season area, the cultivated area and the available area in Summer, the distribution of Rice kinds all over the whole governorates of Egypt and finally the specification of Rice Region in Egypt The fourth Chapter includes the development and distribution of both production and productivity of Rice in Egypt through the following: the development and the distribution of Rice all over the regions, the governorates and the cities in Egypt. Besides, the distribution of the production and productivity of Rice all over the governorates in Egypt. The fifth Chapter discusses the study of the industries based on Rice in Egypt which are: the industry of Rice Milling, the industry of organic fertilizers, the industry of Non- conventional feed, the industry of natural gas, the industry of biofuels, the industry of alternative soil, paper industry in addition to the problem of burning Rice Straw and its negative effects on the environment. The six Chapter shows the economics of Rice through marketing, consumption, exports and imports. Finally, the study ends with a conclusion which comprises the most important results and recommendations which the student could reach through the study.
