This Thesis dealt with the most important technical features developed in the Egyptian short story beginning of the pre-sixties stage and the emergence of harbingers of renewal there until 1984, where the new form of the story was associated with the shift that has occurred on the Egyptian society after the defeat in 1967, Also it treated the most important novel phenomena in the construction of the story, such as the phenomenon of fragmentation of the event and language, full and partial image and the phenomenon of temporal and spatial, and the phenomenon of the heritage code, generative code in the story as well as the phenomena of alienation mystery and legend, and others. Beleujravea short stories and collections of short stories from 1967 - 1984 are proposed and other articles and literature on the short story in the phase in question also prepared. According to them, the researchers in the field of contemporary narrative studies can benefit.

This Thesis dealt with the most important heritage elements that have been employed in the Arabic novel from the beginning of the factors that led to the prevalence of these elements till the most important common elements, and these elements are addressed by employing personal heritage, whether at the level of employment of Documentary or expressive personality. Or employing traditional text even it is a constant or a variable text, also addressed the employment of heritage language in terms of its types and its nature of employment, whether historical language or mystical or mythical and the relationship of this language formation temporal and spatial with the novel, also dealt with the employment figure heritage in terms of types and nature of employment whether a form popular heritage or historical or documentary. As well as addressing the issue of the letter of intertextuality literary novelist in the text because of its direct relationship with the employment of heritage elements.
