Master Title

Political participation in civil society organizations Field study on civil associations in Beni Suef Governorate

Master Abstract

Political participation in civil society organizations Field study on civil associations in Beni Suef Governorate Summary The purpose of this research is to identify the nature of participation within civil society organizations, especially volunteer associations, the general characteristics of participants, the level of performance, the degree of involvement in political matters, the date of their participation and their orientation towards popular participation. This depends on the revitalization of voluntary activity, which will take the form of effectiveness whenever the associations are active under a modern legal state and an active civil society. The research identified a number of indicators to measure the previous variables. The research is based on an integrated theoretical and analytical framework that combines Gramsci's vision of the state's relationship with the civil society organizations, and the use of this relationship in re-activating the civil society movement and its organizations away from the state's control. The theoretical issues related to the relationship between them and the research heritage of voluntary societies, of hypotheses. It can be said that the results of the research have achieved their objectives, and highlighted the relative absence of civil society, and its reduction in the authority of the state, which is unfair and undesirable, and eliminates the voluntary initiatives, and voluntary rational ties of individuals. These results confirmed the validity of the research hypotheses, except the assumptions regarding the level of participation and political engagement and the trends towards popular participation. These results have raised a number of issues and topics that could be the subject of future studies such as disclosure of institutional conditions, relations and community interactions that impede the ability of voluntary work to start to a wider horizons, as well as work on forming relations with foreign parties on the basis of achieving real partnership Of equality and equality between associations and foreign bodies. Another issue is the study of changing the essence of the relationship between voluntary organizations and beneficiary groups. This means a qualitative shift in the nature and role of the voluntary sector.

PHD Title

Welfare State and Civil Society's Organizations A Field Study of Political Parties

PHD Abstract

Welfare State and Civil Society's Organizations A Field Study of Political Parties Prepared by : Ahmed Mohammed Abed El Ghany Supervised by: PR. Anus M. Gahfar PR. Kamal Abed El Hamid D. Hassan Ibrahim Hassan Degree : Ph.D. Major : Political Sociology This Study deals with Welfare State in general and one of its aspects Which is Arabic Welfare State in particular. It gives special concern to the Political Parties because they are the most important category who Practice the Political Behavior (Activists). This helps in knowing the New Political Pattern. Choice has been directed towards Beni Suef Governate because it is according to the Measures of Public Participation represents a high Level of Voting in the light of the Latest Election of General Assembly. The Study exposes the social roles, which can be done inside this Extractive Bureaucracy Political Pattern and the Political Life in Egypt. This exposition depends on a hypothesis refers to “ The State goes on achieving Welfare because the Making of Welfare is a part of Proving Selfness as an Opposite Resource in Making a Society represents an industrial identity. Mediated Organization affect on Law and Politics, Practicing its rights in social Mobility for the sake of Civil Goods or activitized Political Work, at Last deal with The Resources to re-working Welfare with non-conditioned. The study deals with a particular Theoretical Pattern which depends on gathering two essential approaches .One is the approach of Civil Society and its Activities as a Laboratory for testing Governmental and Partisan Policies through the Notion of Governance. The second is that of State Policies toward its Civil Society. The Private approach of M. Foucault disguised with introducing explicit explanations about Unvisual sides in State’s Discourse or Visual in Parties one which makes it discursive spheres for formal institution and social Unit following the State Disciplinary. State likes to be a holder of the stick of Social Control across the Technologies for Governmental Control not Technologies of Citizenship. All the Theoretical and Field data proved the validity of research's hypothesis and answer the Crucial question that Parties do well outside the State, but they didn't attach the direct experiment, and the criticism which directed to them is always in the light of the thinking of the certain category on which they rely on this means that the social Pattern of Welfare will continue with the existence of Parties ‘Passivity. There is, actually, what support this tendency, it is that implicit and invisible Deals to divide Shares among the Competitive Groups. Unfortunality, Parties are not important enough in this issue, so they didn't have their Complete License. The whole study sums up that, to develop a positive role of the Egyptian Political Parties towards this social welfare type, it is must to work on many ways. One of the most important of them all is, Ungovernmentality against Governmentality and the Parties will be a considerable part of the whole system, and to be in touch with Daily Life’s Policies. At Last, to develop the social strata (Low Class) have many civil ties which it formed by itself away from the styles of Passivity and Decivness.
