Social Class and Reproductive Health (A comparative field study in Beni Suef Governorate)
Master Abstract
In general, the study aims to identify the relationship between social application and reproductive health, to learn about the realities of reproductive health in the study community, to reveal differences between the social classes of the study community, to learn about reproductive preferences for research in the study community, to learn about the extent of the practice of family planning research, and to reveal reproductive health forms and practices in the study community.
In order to achieve the objectives of the study and answer its questions, the researcher used the sample social survey method, and also used the comparative method, where the responses of (125) of the respondents in the village of Riad Pasha were compared, and (125) of the respondents in the pilots ' land District. The data necessary for this study was collected through several methodological tools, namely the questionnaire sheet, direct observation and analysis of documents and records.
The study has reached several results, the most important of which are:
The study showed that the determinants of social class varied greatly between the two study populations. The study found that the largest percentage of those who obtained a university qualification is greater in the urban community (Ard al-Tayaran neighborhood) than in the rural community (Riyad Pasha village), and the results of the study also showed the superiority of the non-working respondents in the two study communities, and that most of the working respondents work in the profession of teaching and administrative work The results of the study showed that most of the respondents do not want to have children again in the two study groups, and they prefer to have male children. The study concluded that the vast majority of the respondents are aware of the importance of benefiting from maternity care services. And that the majority of the respondents on whom the study was conducted; Whether in the rural community (Riyad Basha village) or the urban community (Ard al-Tayyaran neighborhood), she resorts to a specialized doctor during childbirth. The study also found that there is a significant increase in the levels of current use of family planning methods, and that the IUD is the most common method among women.
