Monitoring the changes in Agricultural Coverage in Beni Suef Governorate Between 1986-2016 Abstract This research deals with the possibility of using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) as one of the most used plant indicators for monitoring the changes in agricultural cover in Beni Suef Governorate between 1986-2016. The results of the research showed that the area of agricultural cover in the centers of the study area in 1986 amounted to 283,580.9 acres, while in 2016 it reached 308,837.3 feddans for the total centers of the study area, and it reflects the amount of an increase in the area of agricultural cover in this period amounted to 25,256.4 acres, thus the rate of increase of the area The agricultural cover in this period is 8.9% for the total centers of the study area.
