Research Abstract

: the aim of this research is to find out the functions of the dictionary, particularly the information it provides in its internal input. the researcher choose the dictionaries of Tag Al-Arous for Al-zubaidi and Al- Mujam Al- Kabeer for Magmae Allugha Alarabia as a model for this study. these two dictionaries have been chosen by the researcher in order to know the extent to which the Arabic dictionary has been developed from the past until now as well as to know the extent of its commitment to its function by handling the following information: phonetic information ,morphological and grammatical information ,usage information and encyclopedic information
