The Vizier anxw and his Family in the Thirteenth Dynasty: A Historical and cultural study.

Research Abstract

This study dealt with the topic of “The Vizier anxw and his family in the Thirteenth Dynasty - A Historical and cultural study-, and includes an introduction and five chapters. The First Chapter is entitled: The Vizier anxw genealogy and his titles. This chapter deals with the lineage of the Vizier Ankhu, and his administrative titles, including the title of The Vizier, the title overseer of town , Vizier, and those judicial, especially the title overseer of the six great courts, The Judge and Speak of Nkhn, and the title of Great ten of the south. The Second Chapter entitled: The Vizier Ankhu’s career during the Thirteenth Dynasty period. This chapter included The Vizier Ankhu’s career hierarchy during the Thirteenth Dynasty, and his administrative role, especially from the reign of King Khanjar, and his political role from the reign of King Sobek Hotep II, as well as features from The administrative apparatus of The Vizier Ankhu during the Thirteenth Dynasty, and finally the dual position of The Vizier during the Thirteenth Dynasty, according to what was mentioned in the archaeological sources of that perio. The Third Chapter entitled: The Vizier Ankhu’s family relationship with the royal power during the Thirteenth Dynasty and its functional role. This chapter dealt with a study on the role of The Vizier Ankhu’s family, represented by: The role of his grandparents in the Middle Kingdom, the role of his father, The Vizier Samuntu during the Twelfth Dynasty during the reign of King Amenemhat III, and the role of both his mother Mrs. Hnut-pw and his wife Mrs. Mrryt and his sons Rs-Snb and Iymru in the Thirteenth Dynasty, and the relationship of The Vizier Ankhu's family with the family The owner during that period the subject of study, and their role in religious life in the Thirteenth Dynasty period has been discussed. Chapter Four is entitled: The most important monuments of Vizier Ankhu and his family. This chapter deals with the most important monuments of Vizier Ankhu and his family, represented in: Statues, Stela, papyri, , and seals. The Fifth Chapter is entitled: Analytical study. This chapter deals with the historical and cultural analysis of the political, economic, social and religious conditions of the Thirteenth Dynasty In the period of the Vizier Ankhu and his family and his employees in light of the textual and pictorial sources. The study ends with a conclusion explaining the most important findings of the research, a list of annexes, a list of Arabic references translated into Arabic and foreign, and Final an index of vocabulary.
