Research Abstract
This dissertation entitled" the lexical Entry between Taj Al-Arous and Al-Mujam Al- Kabeer" aims at studying the lexical entrance in terms of the external order, the internal order, and the information contained therein, through application to two glossaries; Taj Al-Arous and Al-Mujam Al- Kabeer. The researcher has chosen this subject to know the approach of both glossaries, and to monitor the lexical gaps in Taj Al-Arous that Al- Mujam Al-Kabeer tries to fill in order to reach the most appropriate way to organize the vocabulary of entrances to save the time and effort required in obtaining the meaning of a word. The nature of the study has required that the dissertation should be consisted of three chapters preceded by an introduction, a preface, and followed by a list of sources and references. The introduction tackles the importance of the study, its objectives, the methodology, and the previous studied. The preface gives brief information about Lexicology. The first chapter deals with the external entrance in terms of definition and arrangement. The second chapter deals with the internal entrance in terms of definition an arrangement (verbs form, nouns form). The third chapter deals with the information contained in the lexical entrance including information related to the word structure, information related to the word meaning, and information related to the encyclopedic side and usage information, through the comparative methodology that enables the researcher to compare and analyze.
