Geographical distribution of crop endemicity coefficient and regions of crops grown in the centers of Fayoum Governorate in 2017

Research Abstract

The study of crop habitation and cultivated crop areas in Fayoum governorate is a topic of interest at the present time in order to reach the causes that led to this habitat. The study shows the perfect areas to cultivate the diferent crops to iprove and increase them to achieve the self- sufficiency which is the only way to realise the food security in the area of the study. The study is concerned with the geographical distribution of crop-habitation factor and cultivated crop areas in the districts of Fayoum governorate in 2017 in order to identify the distribution of cultivated crops at the governorate level and their centers for the identification of their agricultural areas, cultivated species and geographical spread. The reasons for their expansion and shortage are sought, with the most appropriate areas for growing such crops in the study area to solve the problem of food shortages, the development of agro-industries and exports, the closing of the food gap and the improvement of the agricultural trade balance.
