Social Network and Overcoming the Unemployment Problem Among Youth A comparative Field Research in Beni- Suef City

The current study aims at studying the role of the social network of social relations in providing employment opportunities for youth , and to identify the other areas of support provided by network membership, in addition to identifying the most important factors that contribute to the benefit of some of the support of their social networks more than Others by revealing the impact of the size and density of networks and the characteristics of its members and the nature of relations within them and the extent of adherence to the values and norms of building networks. To find an answer to the study questions, a social survey method and a comparative method are used by the researcher. A comparison was made between the Employees and unemployed . The data of the study are collected according to some methodological techniques represented in interviewing schedule, direct observation , informants and the analysis of documents and records. A sample contains 600 respondents divided into two sub-samples, each contains 300 respondents, one of them working in two different sectors, the governmental sector represented in Beni Suef governmental University and the other The private sector represented by Al-Nahda Private University, while the other sub-sample are unemployed and those who were selected from Rural and urban residents in Beni Suef. - Results of the study :  The network of social relations plays a major role in providing employment opportunities for youth .  The mechanisms in which networks work to provide employment opportunities for you this diverse .  The effectiveness of networks as a way of looking for work leads to a situation of inequality between competitors to enter the labor market.  The impact of social networks in providing job opportunities for youth is more pronounced within the private sector than in the government sector.  The impact of social networks in providing job opportunities for youth increases among intermediate qualifications compared to other educational qualifications.  The Social networks seem to have little impact on both the job efficiency (the appropriateness of the job with specialization) and the wage level ,  In addition to the job support of the networks, it has been shown to contribute to the provision of various areas of support to members, including emotional, Financial, cognitive, informational and occupational support  There are Multiple factors that contribute to the benefit of some of the support of their social networks more than others, including the following: - Network size and density . - Characteristics of the members . - Nature of interactions and relationships within the network. - Adherence to the values and norms of building social networks when building social relations .
