Causation in Al-Mutanabi Poetry:A Symantic-Morphological Study

Master Abstract

1-To show the semantic-morphological characteristics of causative verbs and the simialarities and differences among these verbs being method alternatives to give the meaning of causation. 2-to show these characteristics in Al-Mutanabi 3- To show harmony between the Arab Classical Linguistic approach and The Modern one in case of not differentiating between grammar and semantic and it is impossible to reach the real understanding of the text without putting the two approaches in one mould on researching and analyzing. Hence ,This research is not to give an alternative , to practice reading and to show great efforts exerted by the ancient Arab scientists which dealt with morphological symantics. This wouldn’t have been done unless we had alook on the whole grammatical inheriatance and purified and collected the similar . In addition,I grouped spotted the modern linguistic treatments which dealt with aspects of this topic. This research has used, to perfectlyperform this treatmeant and achieve its goal, the descriptive and analysis method through notice and perfect reading , Then classification and statistics then analysis to reach the aimed end. To fulfil all these matters and others mentioned in this research , the research subject matter had to be divided into the following:

PHD Abstract

the time of the Prophet and the Guided Caliphs. It focuses on the pragmatic dimensions of documents through studying certain texts, conducting a pragmatic analysis of them, based on the linguistic and non-linguistic contexts of discourse, and taking into consideration the three main components-namely, the sender, the text and the recipient, as well as the circumstances related to the three components, with the aim of gaining insights into the significance and objectives that the texts are meant to realise. The topic was chosen because of the very special nature of documents as texts, particularly the richness and variety characterising their pragmatic aspects. In other words, these texts are based on direct and indirect interaction between two parties, using Arabic, or any other language, as a medium of communication, at a time when Arabic reached a zenith of eloquence, which makes such texts very suitable for applying the principles of pragmatics in their analysis. .
